iGlueHulu is a simple way to import your TV Shows from Hulu into your Glue account.
The app was built by Byron Carasco, a developer who’s active in the Glue community. Byron used Hulu’s feed capabilities and leveraged the Glue API.
Here’s how the app works:
1) Visit http://igluehulu.appspot.com/ and enter your Hulu username and Glue username and password.
2) You’ll see a progress bar proceed across the screen and, when complete, will show you how many shows have been imported.
3) Visit your Glue profile and you’ll see that the shows now appear in your collection.
For example, my good friend Steffan just ran the app for his Hulu account and you can see the 5 shows appear in his Glue profile (pic).
Now, for the app to work you need to be subscribed to the shows on Hulu. Here’s a picture showing you how to subscribe to shows on Hulu.
If you have a Glue account and watch TV Shows on Hulu, you should use iGlueHulu to sync your Hulu information to Glue.
Thanks Byron for creating this tool for everyone to benefit from! If you have an idea for how to improve Glue, why not build something via the Glue API?

A fist bump is a quick way to say hello and an easy way to show respect.
Similarly, the Fist Bump sticker is a quick way to say hello on Glue.
The Fist Bump sticker is triggered by liking 10 things in a row via another individual’s profile. Both individuals earn the sticker, making it a light-weight way to pay some respect to another person on Glue.
On the Fist Bump sticker’s page you can see all of the people you’ve bumped fists with.
The next time you’re looking at a Glue profile, why not pay a bit of respect and say hello by liking 10 things in a row to initiate the Fist Bump?

Wikipedia defines a polymath as “a person, with superior intelligence, whose expertise spans a significant number of subject areas.”
The Da Vinci sticker, perhaps the most coveted in the collection, highlights and rewards polymaths on GetGlue.com.
Earned by becoming a Guru in every category, the Da Vinci sticker is an honor held by few on the system.
Adding to the difficulty is the fact that if you lose a Guru status, and no longer are a Guru within the category, you lose the Da Vinci sticker. As the world evolves, so too must your knowledge. To maintain the distinction of the Da Vinci sticker you must continue to develop skills and knowledge across a number of categories.

Today we’re excited to release an update to GetGlue.com. There are a number of improvements included in this update, some of which we’ll review in this blog post.
 |
Comment and Reply from the Stream
As of this release you can comment and reply directly within the various streams of activity.
Clicking thumbs-up or thumbs-down will cause a comment box to appear. Clicking into the comment box allows you to share why you like (or dislike) the item.
Selecting ‘reply’ after mousing over another individual’s entry in the stream will cause the same text box to appear. |
 |
New Navigation Options
This release includes refinements to navigation options and filters across the site.
Comments. An often requested feature, the ‘Comments’ toggle filters the view to display only the items with a comment. This toggle is available on the Public and Personal streams as well as profile pages.
List and Grid. The List and Grid options toggle between two different layouts on profile pages. The classic Grid layout enables quick discovery and liking. The List option provides an easy way to comment or reply directly from the profile page.
Homepage navigation has been refactored into 5 tabs in this update. |
 |
Category Selector
The category selector that exists on the Suggestions, Leaderboard, and Popular tabs of the homepage has been updated.
The dropdown menu has been replaced by a set of intelligent toggles that are personalized for each individual. A subset of categories, determined by a threshold of activity, are displayed at the top-level. Other less-active categories are accessible via the ‘More’ option. |
Thanks to everyone who provided the feedback and user insight that helped shape this release. Once again you’ve helped us take a step forward. Enjoy the release and, as always, let us know what you think!

Today we’re discussing Critic and Marathoner, two stickers that highlight deep interactions on Glue.
Critic
“Who are you, Ebert? You’ve been leaving a lot of comments and replies!”
The Critic sticker rewards those who share more insight than a thumbs-up.
As you leave comments and replies on Glue you’ll earn the Critic sticker. This sticker is rewarded in bronze, silver and gold levels.
Marathoner
“Congrats on liking items for a few days in a row!”
The Marathoner sticker - also awarded in bronze, silver & gold levels - rewards those who have the discipline to consistently build up their collection for a number of days in a row.
Much like real training, if there’s a lapse in your schedule, you can keep your current accomplishment but you’ll have to start from the beginning to earn the next level.
I’ve seen a number of Gold Critic stickers out there but very few Silver or Gold Marathoner stickers. What are your thoughts on these two stickers?

Thief is one of my favorite stickers - the moment Karen proposed it I was in love. From Jason’s design to how it works, it’s a stellar sticker.
Thief rewards stealing the Guru title from other users.
Like other stickers, there are levels to Thief - bronze, silver and gold - that are earned based on the number of times you’re able to steal away a Guru title.
The Thief sticker rewards and encourages deeper interactions on Glue, and helps reinforce the importance of Guru within the system.
There are few people who have earned the Thief sticker. I know of three - ccqdesigns, Matt C, and myself. Am I missing anyone? Also, it’s worth pointing out that there are only bronze versions of this sticker. Who will be the first to earn silver or gold?

We’ve covered discovery stickers that you can earn for your profile, as well as stickers that are earned via the browser add-on. Today, I’m happy to introduce you to a different type of sticker: object stickers.
These stickers appear on object pages and within Glue’s tooltips to provide quick insight about the object.
Some items - whether it’s a movie like Memento or a gadget like the iPod Touch - are so loved that the ratio of Thumps-Up to Visits is amazing. People literally can’t visit these items without sharing a positive sentiment. These items have the Beloved sticker.
The Outcast sticker is earned by items that have an equally impressive ratio of Thumbs-Down to Visits. We have yet to see an Outcast sticker in the wild. If you come across one please send it our way!

This year we’re pleased to once again be co-organizing Add-on-Con with our friend Robert from OneRiot. In its second year, the conference has matured nicely, a testament to the emerging browser add-on community.

The one day, two track conference builds on the success of last year’s event. The developer track focuses on best-practices for IE, Firefox and Chrome development as well as mobile browsers. The business track tackles alternative distribution opportunities, publisher deals, and the benefits of a complimentary website strategy.
With participation from numerous add-on developers and support from all major browser vendors, Add-on-Con is the leading event focused on the future of the browser platform.
We’d love to see you at the event. It’s occurring on Dec 11, in Mountain View, CA, at the Computer History Museum.
