Winter is coming, but it can’t be here soon enough. If you’re among the legion of devoted readers of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series–or simply a fan of epic premium cable drama–then you’re counting down to the HBO premiere of Game of Thrones on April 17. To get fans (even more) excited, HBO has launched The Maester’s Path, a game that rewards users with exclusive content for the upcoming series and GetGlue stickers.
Each Monday through March 28, a new puzzle will be revealed at The Maester’s Path, and completing the puzzle will earn you access to exclusive footage from the show as well as a new GetGlue sticker, beginning with this week’s “Scent.” The stickers can only be earned by checking-in through widgets shown on The Maester’s Path website once you complete a task, so put on your thinking caps and follow The Maester’s Path.
HBO is known for their perfectly cast, wonderfully detailed dramas (including Boardwalk Empire and Deadwood), and Game of Thrones promises to be no exception when it premieres on April 17. Though set in a time and place not our own, Game of Thrones is more about political intrigue and complex characters than fantasy.
