Attention Game of Thrones enthusiasts! While we know that you are counting down the hours until the Season 3 premiere tonight on HBO at 9pm, we have even more exciting news to share. HBO will release 3 live action stills from the episode which fans will be able to use to create memes.
Users can choose this photo, this photo, or this photo, and use a meme generator to create their own meme! Users can then share their entry on the Game of Thrones GetGlue page. GetGlue users can then vote on the best memes they see on the Game of Thrones media tab. The top voted meme will be turned into a GetGlue sticker which will be earnable during Thursday’s re-air. This contest will run weekly during the entire season of Game of Thrones. Images will be released Sundays, and users can vote until 11:59pm ET each Tuesday. Vote for your favorite memes here.

Sookie is taking the night off from Merlotte’s and heading to Comic-Con. True Blood will be making its fourth consecutive appearance at San Diego Comic-Con. The whole cast will participate in a panel on Friday from 5:30 - 6:30 pm which will be moderated by Entertainment Weekly’s Tim Stack. On Friday from 11am-noon, and Saturday from 4pm to 5pm, IDW will have a True Blood Comic Book signing. GetGlue is excited to have a sticker for these events! Be sure to check-in on our apps and website while you are at these events to earn this sticker! Once you earn the sticker, head over to the IDW Booth (#2643) and show your GetGlue sticker where you will then be given a True Blood keychain! Hurry up though, it’s first-come-first-serve.
Game of Thrones will be making its first appearance at Comic-Con. George R.R. Martin, who wrote the books off of which Thrones is based and serves as a producer/writer on the show, will be moderating the panel. The panel is scheduled for Thursday, July 21, 3-4pm. Be sure to check-in on GetGlue to earn an exclusive sticker.
Comic-Con begins in San Diego on Thursday and runs through Sunday.

We’re still two weeks away from the much-anticipated series premiere of Game of Thrones on HBO, and we couldn’t be more excited for what will likely be the TV event of the year. We’re already offering users stickers for solving puzzles at The Maester’s Path, but now we have even more stickers for the show itself. Start by watching tonight’s 15-minute preview at 9pm on HBO and check-in via our apps or our website to earn more stickers.
For the uninitiated, Game of Thrones is based on the first book in a series by bestselling author George R.R. Martin. You’ll find the books shelved in fantasy, but while there are elements of magic and strange creatures, the books have a far broader appeal than most of its shelfmates. Rather than focusing on a quest, A Game of Thrones is more about political intrigue and strong, flawed characters. There’s no definitive good or evil in the series, bringing humanity to a genre that’s far too often steeped in archetypes.
Check out the trailer on GetGlue to get another glimpse at the epic drama that’s sure to continue HBO’s excellent track record. Watch the extended preview tonight at 9pm that airs before Mildred Pierce, and clear your calendars for the series premiere on April 17 at 9pm. Seriously, you don’t want to miss this.
